Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Resident Engagement Coordinator (Finance) in Texas. The role focuses on coordinating programs, planning events, and engaging residents in meaningful activities within the community.

Responsibilities include developing monthly activity calendars, collaborating with leadership, and ensuring engaging experiences for residents, with potential driving duties. The position emphasizes a person-centered approach and supportive teamwork.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of direct experience coordinating, planning, and executing programs.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or related field preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license; may need a commercial license.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes a person-centered approach to positive perceptions of aging and builds relationships with residents.
  • Develops a monthly calendar in partnership with residents based on shared interests.
  • Collaborates with community leadership to plan, coordinate, and execute events (holiday, family, educational, and marketing).
  • Plans and schedules meaningful resident engagement opportunities outside the community; may involve driving a community vehicle.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Education and Experience

A minimum of 1 year of direct experience with adults, coordinating, planning, and executing programs is required. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, health care, education, or other related field preferred. Leadership experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license and may be required to obtain a commercial driver's license based on the needs of the community
