Job summary

Orchard Brook Assisted Living Center in Orchard Park, NY seeks an Activity Leader to plan and implement activities that promote resident engagement and well-being. The role supports dementia-appropriate activities and works 3 days per week from 11am to 7pm.

You will assist in calendar planning, coordinate group projects, and foster social interaction while collaborating with a compassionate team to deliver person-centered care and meaningful enrichment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in gerontology or related long-term care field.
• Strong communication and computer literacy.
• Ability to engage residents with dementia respectfully.
• Team-oriented with flexibility for a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and coordinating activities for resident engagement.
• Plan enrichment programs addressing physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs.
• Facilitate activities for residents, including groups and individual interactions.
• Support celebrations, intergenerational programs, and calendar planning.
• Attend meetings and participate in ongoing staff education.
