Job summary

Erickson Senior Living Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Community Resources Coordinator to engage residents and support the creation of activities and organizations within the community.

You will partner with residents to plan, promote, and coordinate events, prepare calendars, and communicate across staff. Backup duties include creating flyers and managing AV equipment for presentations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in service-related roles, including volunteer work or public service.
• Previous experience working with senior citizens is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with residents in the planning, promoting, and coordinating of activities and events in the community.
• Perform preliminary work for monthly calendars
• Facilitate communication regarding activities among residents and staff
• Create flyers for events; writing articles for community bulletins
• Arrange audio/visual equipment with vendors for presentations
• Serve as the information center for resident inquiries
