Job summary

Belmont Bay Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center seeks an Activities Assistant to enhance residents' quality of life. Opportunities are available for full-time and part-time positions, with a pay rate of $15 - $22/hour. Your role involves creating a welcoming environment and promoting social and emotional engagement.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and preferably some experience in similar settings. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in an Activities Department or related environment preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create welcoming and engaging environments for residents.
• Document resident participation in activities.
• Promote residents' well-being through meaningful activities.
• Plan and implement recreational and social programs.
• Build positive relationships with residents.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on resident care goals.
• Observe and communicate changes in residents' behaviors.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events.
• Complete required administrative tasks and documentation.
• Help set up activities and special events.
• Assist with safely escorting residents to activities.
