Job summary

Genesiscareers is seeking an Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of our patients and residents through engaging recreation activities. You will plan, organize, and implement programs addressing physical, creative, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs, while documenting participation and supporting care plans.

Ideal candidates are effective communicators with strong organizational skills who can positively engage with patients, families, and staff in a supportive long-term care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement engagement activities for patients/residents.
• Document attendance and participation in recreation programs.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
