Job summary

The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth seeks a Resident Director to provide leadership and support to building positive, vibrant on-campus communities.

The RD trains and guides Residential Life student staff and participates in campus events. Responsibilities include crisis response on call, completing reports and duty logs, and coordinating with Campus Safety and other staff to address behavioral concerns and facilities issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Experience with traditional and non-traditional students.
• Experience in crisis management and response.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-call crisis response team member with RDs and Residential Life staff.
• Complete reports and duty logs in Residential Life systems.
• Respond to student issues with staff, Campus Safety, and others; de-escalate and coordinate staff mobilization.
