Job summary

Monarch Communities is hiring a Kitchen Helper to provide excellent dining service for residents and guests, including taking orders, serving meals, and dishwashing. The role supports a clean, safe dining environment and requires attention to dietary needs and resident preferences.

Full-time or part-time schedules are available. The position offers an hourly wage of $18.00 and opportunities to participate in team training and community events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) preferred.
• At least 1 year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage time well.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take residents’ dining orders in a friendly and attentive manner.
• Learn and retain residents’ names and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure dining room is set up and stocked for service (silverware, napkins, menus, condiments).
• Assist with cleaning, dishwashing, and sanitizing dining areas and kitchen.
• Ensure safe food handling during service.
• Assist with beverage and food preparation for service.
• Help residents with special dining requests as needed.
• Track attendance and document resident meals.
• Assist with special events and trainings as scheduled.
• Comply with Federal, State, and local regulations and community policies.
