Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) seeks a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation and service in a long-term care facility. You will prepare salads and vegetables, serve meals according to dietary needs, and maintain sanitary kitchen and dining areas.

You will follow safety guidelines, interact positively with residents and staff, and perform additional duties as assigned. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
