Job summary

Apploi is seeking a dining services aide to assist in the preparation, service and cleanup for meals in a nursing center. You will help with food ordering, storage, and basic prep under supervisor guidance, ensuring meals are served on time and the dining area remains sanitary.

Typical duties include assisting cooks, preparing nourishments, portions, desserts, and salads, following production sheets, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in a large-scale cooking operation is preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by supervisor.
• Assist cooks as directed by supervisor.
• Prepare nourishments and portions according to center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads and other non-entrée items.
• Follow production sheets and guidelines when appropriate.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits; slice meat and portion for menu.
