Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in food service management preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in food service management, healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in food service software.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
• Develop and implement menus that cater to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Supervise and train a team of dietary aides, servers, and cooks to provide exceptional service and food quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dining environment, adhering to regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with administration to develop and implement food service policies and procedures.
• Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and supplies for optimal resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to foster a welcoming dining environment.
