Job summary

Encore at Parkside is actively seeking Servers to warmly interact with residents and guests in Independent Living. You will deliver friendly, efficient service, greet residents, and assist with dining room setup and cleanup.

The role emphasizes understanding menu items, following sanitation protocols, and maintaining confidentiality of resident information while upholding professional appearance and ongoing staff training.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of services in the Dining Room including waiting on assigned tables, taking orders, setting and busing tables.
• Assuring that all shift duties are thoroughly completed before the close of each shift.
• Set up and clean up of special functions.
• Understanding every menu item and special to answer diners' questions.
• Properly greeting all residents and guests.
• Adherence to all sanitation and food handling protocols.
• Maintenance of confidentiality of all pertinent resident information.
• Proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures.
• Attendance and participation in in-service training programs.
• Reporting of all hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Preparation of routine set-up of dining room for next day and/or special holidays.
• Maintain quality level of service.
• Good communication skills; must be able to demonstrate effective reading, writing and speaking.
