Job summary

Encore at Parkside is hiring for Servers to interact with residents and guests in an Independent Living setting. Servers provide attentive, friendly, and efficient service while maintaining a welcoming environment for all diners.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving, setting and clearing tables, and upholding sanitation and safety protocols. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with strong communication skills and a focus on resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak effectively.
• Experience in dining room service or food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete all shift duties before close of shift.
• Set up and clean up for special functions.
• Know menu items and specials to answer diners’ questions.
• Greet residents and guests warmly.
• Follow sanitation and food handling protocols and safety policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Prepare dining room for next day or holidays.
• Attend in-service trainings as required.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Maintain high quality service throughout the shift.

Encore at Parkside is currently hiring for Servers. This position will interact with our residents/guests in Independent Living. The Server will be responsible for positive resident/guest interactions while serving residents/guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, Servers are expected to be attentive to our residents'/guests' needs and making them welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

Responsibilities:

Performing a variety of services in the Dining Room including waiting on assigned tables, taking orders, setting and busing tables.

Assuring that all shift duties are thoroughly completed before the close of each shift.

Set up and clean up of special functions.

Understanding - before each meal period - every menu item and special, well enough to answer diners' questions.

Properly greeting all residents and guests.

Adherence to all sanitation and food handling protocols.

Adherence to all safety policies and procedures of Encore Village and regulatory authorities.

Maintenance of confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure residents' rights and employee confidentiality are protected.

Proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procdures.

Attendance and participation in in-service training programs.

Reporting of all hazardous conditions or equipment.

Preparation of routine set-up of dining room for next day and/or special holidays.

Maintain quality level of service.

Good communication skills; must be able to demonstrate effective reading, writing and speaking.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
