Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a Dining Room staff member in New Hampshire on a per diem basis to provide quality dining experiences for residents and guests. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to regulations within a hospital or care setting.

Responsibilities include serving in the main dining room and at special functions, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating with Dietetics and Nursing staff to ensure resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Good communications skills.
• Sound mental and physical health.
• Ability to get along well with others.
• Flexibility and patience to work as a team member with sensitivity to older adults.
• High school education preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain rapport with residents.

Responsibilities

• Create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and guests.
• Follow established service style and order in main dining room and at functions.
• Perform before/after side jobs as assigned.
• Follow safety and sanitation rules and regulations.
• Refer problems to Dining Room Manager.
• Promote a clean, safe, neat environment for residents, self and staff.
• Know fire safety procedures and assist in evacuation if needed.
• Cooperate with other departments and perform other duties as assigned.
