Job summary

Vitality in Louisville, KY, is seeking a friendly Dining Room Server to greet residents, visitors and team members and help ensure a high-quality dining experience for all.

You will support daily dining operations, assist with meal preparation and service, ensure proper storage and sanitation, and follow emergency and safety procedures. Onboarding and annual training are provided as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to demonstrate adherence to proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service; including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Awareness of team dynamics, inventory, safety and cleanliness.
• Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information, verbally and written.
• Understands food safety procedures (e.g. temperature safety), sanitation of equipment measures, and storage techniques.
• Desire to work with older adults and their families.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, visitors, and team members courteously.
• Respect dignity and promote resident rights.
• Serve meals and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Record guest meals and report to Business Office Director.
• Assist in preparations for special meals and parties.
• Ensure proper storage of food and supplies.
• Assist with the daily operations and cleaning of the dining room and server areas.
• Attend onboarding and annual training, in-services and team member meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Services, Sous Chef, or Cook(s).
