Job summary

The Neighborhood at Auburn, operated by Phoenix Senior Living, is seeking Cooks to join their team. The Cook reports to the Food and Beverage Director and will be responsible for all food preparation to meet quality and service standards.

Shift: 1st shift 5:30a–1:30p, Mon-Fri; Every other weekend required. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, culinary training, and SERV Safe certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.
• One year related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Current SERV Safe certificate or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to posted menus and approved recipes.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in all food service areas and comply with safety standards.
• Record equipment, refrigerator, freezer, cooking and holding temperatures.
• Monitor food items to meet quality and temperature guidelines.
• Operate dish machines and ensure proper washing and sanitation of dishes and cookware.
