Job summary

Avera Rosebud Country Care Center in South Dakota is seeking a Resident Dining Assistant on a PRN basis to assist residents in the dining room during meals. You will set up, serve trays, pour beverages, and support infection control while working as part of a compassionate care team.

Qualified candidates may have a High School diploma or equivalent, or CNA/CNA program completion, and must be able to communicate effectively and work well within a team.

Qualifications

• Some high school or equivalent with experience.
• Resident Dining Feeding Assistant program within 60 days or CNA active within 120 days.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform pre-meal cares in the dining area.
• Serve residents seated for meals and pass trays per prescribed diet.
• Pour beverages and assist with meal setup for residents needing minimal help.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Report accidents and hazards to the nurse in charge and complete incident reports.
• Assist in transporting residents to dining area.

Work where you matter.A Brief OverviewResident Dining Assistant is responsible for assisting staff with residents in the dining room before and during meal times.What you will doAssists with setting up and performing pre meal cares in the dining area for meals.Serves residents as they are seated for meal by passing trays per prescribed diet from kitchen area, pouring beverages as desired and assisting with setup of meal for residents that need minimal assistance.Follows all infection control procedures as established by the facility.Reports all accidents/incidents regardless of severity to nurse in charge and complete incident report according to facility policy.Reports all hazardous conditions and equipment to charge nurse.Pass water and evening snacks.Assists in transporting residents to dining area.Essential QualificationsThe individual must be able to work the hours specified.
