Job summary

Horizon House in Seattle, WA seeks a Driver to support resident engagement by providing safe transportation for outings, appointments, and events. You will operate and maintain community vehicles, coordinate trips, and assist residents throughout their travel experience.

The role requires 21+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, a valid WA driver license, and the ability to pass a DOT Physical. First Aid/CPR certification is required or provided after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Fluency in English.
• Must have valid WA State driver license in good standing.
• Able to pass a DOT Physical.
• American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification required (training provided after hire).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents using community shuttles and vans.
• Assist residents with boarding/exiting, including wheelchair lifts.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and transport to service providers.
• Provide residents with trip information and transportation services.
• Foster positive interactions with residents and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Accompany residents on outings when extra support is needed.
• Ensure outings are accurately documented and billed.
