Job summary

Silver Birch of Mishawaka is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community safe, comfortable, and feeling like home for residents. You will handle general maintenance, fix lighting and plumbing, and support with resident transportation and housekeeping as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Maintenance experience preferred, especially in healthcare or multi-unit buildings.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Reliable, respectful and helpful individual.

Responsibilities

• Take care of general maintenance and repairs around the community.
• Fix everyday items like lighting, paint, drywall, flooring, and basic plumbing.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders.
• Help move, assemble, or install furniture and equipment.
• Assist with resident transportation and support housekeeping when needed.
