Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a Cook for full/part-time shifts from 11am to 7pm. You will prepare food per menus and events for residents and guests, while maintaining quality and safety standards in a collaborative kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least three years of line cook experience, and strong communication skills. This role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within our senior living communities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
• Good communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain freshness, cooking status, and proper seasoning of all foods served.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Maintain a positive team environment and support residents' dignity and well-being.
