Job summary

Heritage Community of Kalamazoo is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. You will perform a wide range of cleaning tasks, sanitize resident rooms and common areas, and assist with laundry on occasion.

This role supports the care team and contributes to the residents' comfort and quality of life. Applicants with previous housekeeping experience are welcome; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is a plus but not required.
• Effective time management to complete tasks efficiently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Sanitize resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces per infection-control guidelines.
• Follow established cleaning routines and respond to special cleaning requests as needed.
