Job summary

CienaHealthcare is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper/Aide to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors at our Michigan facility.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas, proper waste disposal, hazard signaling, safe chemical handling, and bi-directional cross-training in laundry as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior housekeeping experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures.
• Disposes of trash and waste, including biohazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Posts signs to indicate safety hazards at any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors or others in the facility.
• Comply with all safety instructions and procedures when using chemical substances. Refers to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for instructions.
• Cross train in Laundry and assist as needed
