Job summary

Qualifications

• Leadership and oversight of dietary staff and operations.
• Ability to coordinate meal preparation, service, and portion control.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and dietary team.
• Experience in budget monitoring and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, train, and support Dietary Cooks, Dietary Aides, and other dietary team members.
• Coordinate daily meal preparation, service, portion control, and cleanup.
• Partner with the Registered Dietitian and interdisciplinary team to meet residents' nutritional needs and physician orders.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served safely, on time, and in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor food temperatures, storage, sanitation, and infection-prevention practices.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate ordering with approved vendors; assist with budget management.
