Job summary

Glenbridge Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an energetic Activity Assistant to enrich the lives of residents by planning, organizing, and leading engaging recreational programs in our facility.

The ideal candidate is creative, patient, and dedicated to promoting social interaction and well-being among residents. High school diploma required; experience in healthcare settings is a plus, with a supportive team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as an Activity Assistant or recreation aide in healthcare is a plus.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs for residents.
• Lead or co-lead group and individual activities such as games, crafts, music, outings, and events.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Help decorate and maintain the activity areas to create a welcoming environment.
• Maintain attendance records, supply inventory, and assist with documentation as directed by the Activities Director.
• Escort residents to and from activities and provide friendly companionship.
• Collaborate with other departments to promote resident engagement and community spirit.
