Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Activity Director certification is required.
• Preferably one-year experience in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers and employees.
• Mathematical skills to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the resident-centered activities for the facility.
• Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations and professional standards.
• Provide good communication between staff, residents, families, and external partners.
• Develop monthly activity schedules and arrange transportation for residents when needed.
