Job summary

The Waters of Clifty Falls is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to help maintain clean resident and staff linens in a compassionate, home-like environment. You will contribute to a comfortable living space by organizing, laundering, and distributing laundry with attention to sanitation and resident privacy.

Follow facility policies, work under the Housekeeping Director, and perform daily tasks efficiently, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and delivering laundry, while collaborating

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or sufficient knowledge and education to perform job functions.
• Understands and carries out oral and written directions.
• Is capable of setting work priorities and working independently in the absence of supervision.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and follow all facility policies and procedures.
• Acts appropriately under the direction of the Housekeeping Director and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
• Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Lifts and carries loads of laundry to and from cleaning equipment.
• Washes, dries, folds and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
• Identifies personal laundry with resident’s name and re-marks personal clothing items, if needed.
• Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
• Completes all daily assignments to the satisfaction of the supervisor.
• Keeps work area clean and neat and performs cleaning assignments as scheduled or directed.
• Works in cooperation with all other employees of the facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program when performing work functions.
• Other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Director
