Job summary

Laurel Lake Retirement Community, Inc. is searching for a meticulous environmental services team member to maintain clean, sanitary living spaces for residents and visitors. Responsibilities include cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, dusting, sanitizing, and keeping floors and fixtures in good condition.

Applicants should be able to lift 25 lbs, push equipment up to 50 lbs, read labels, and follow instructions. Ability to work with others or alone and availability on weekends are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate preferred.
• Ability to read warning labels on hazardous chemical containers and MSDS sheets.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident living quarters and ancillary areas by following cleaning procedures and safety standards.
• Clean glass and mirrors, scrub and sanitize kitchen and bathroom surfaces and fixtures, dust furniture, and sanitize beds.
• Maintain and clean all floor coverings: sweep, mop, and vacuum.
• Complete chargeable services efficiently while maintaining high quality (pet care, bed making, trash removal).
• Replenish supplies in assigned areas and keep work areas sanitary.
• Attend mandatory in-services and meetings; adhere to attendance policies; work weekends and overtime when required.
• Assist co-workers with specialty cleans and other tasks as requested.
