Job summary

Laurelwood Assisted Living in Dayton, OH, is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in the Community and resident apartments, including entryways, dining areas, hallways, patios, and living spaces.

Responsibilities include deep cleaning, laundry of linens, stocking supplies, and following sanitation procedures, with prior senior living experience preferred but not required and a friendly, customer-service oriented team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping for the Community and resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning entryways, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident spaces.
• Clean refrigerators, check heat system filters, change bedsheets and linens as needed, and rotate mattresses with assistance.
• Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on entry areas, carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens by washing and drying in provided facilities.
• Follow Laurelwood’s sanitation and safety procedures as outlined in the Care Guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole, and individual resident apartment. This includes, but is not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entry way, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.

• Resident apartments also include clean and defrost refrigerators (as needed), clean and check heat system filters, etc., change the bed and linens, make sure adequate linen supplies in each apartment. Turn mattress (with assistance) as necessary and empty waste baskets.

• Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed. Pay special attention to the main entry area, with focus on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows and light fixtures.

• Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided.

• Follow Laurelwood’s sanitation and safety procedures. Details regarding the housekeeper’s cleaning responsibilities can be found in the Laurelwood Assisted Living Care Guidelines.

• Other duties as assigned.
