Job summary

Palm Valley Post Acute is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and rehabilitation activities. You will document progress, follow infection control protocols, and contribute to discharge planning.

You will participate in care conferences, educate residents and families on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety techniques, and assist with equipment recommendations to promote independence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program and state license.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care systems.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation per guidelines.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following protocols.
• Participate in rehabilitation meetings and care conferences.
• Educate residents and families on goals and home programs.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to support independence.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information.
