Job summary

Oaknoll is hiring full-time Cooks in Iowa City, IA. Shifts run 5:30am–2:00pm, every other weekend with some holidays required.

We value residents’ care and community through our CREATE culture and expect you to prepare menu items from recipes with pride while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen. Ideal candidates have at least one year of line cook experience or a culinary arts degree, plus knife skills and customer service ability.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience as a line cook or a culinary arts degree.
• Basic cooking knowledge and knife skills.
• Great attitude and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items from recipes.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen area.
• Work 5:30am–2:00pm, every other Saturday and Sunday, some holidays.
• Cook and create menu items from scratch to keep menus fresh.
