Job summary

Folkston Park Care and Rehab is seeking a Cook / Dietary Aide to support daily meal preparation for residents, ensuring diets and portions align with physician orders and planned menus.

You will follow food safety guidelines, assist with tray assembly and dining service, maintain cleanliness, and document temperatures and stock. This role requires attention to detail and a compassionate approach to elderly residents.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in food service or healthcare dining.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Desire to work with the elderly.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Maintain confidentiality to ensure HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/proportion food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Follow proper food handling and safety techniques and infection control procedures.
• Serve food attractively while maintaining quality and palatability.
• Monitor food temperatures during preparation and service.
• Record temperatures of food, refrigerator, and freezer.
• Assist with tray line setup and assemble trays according to menu, portions, and diet orders.
• Follow daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Clean, wash, and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area and work space.
• Putt up stock in storage areas and refrigerators.
