Job Description

Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Northbrook is hiring a part-time Resident Caregiver for 4-hour shifts.

The Resident Caregiver assists residents with daily activities as outlined in their service plans, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This role requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to frequent interactions with residents and families to ensure satisfaction.

Job Requirements

• Education: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village)
• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills; ability to speak understandable English
• Experience: Knowledge and experience working with the elderly; dementia experience preferred
• Certification: Required per state regulations; successful completion of Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat for extended periods; push and pull objects; lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted; fully use hands, arms, and legs; read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment; operate washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances; maintain good physical and mental health.
