Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant or CNA (full-time, 6:45 a.m. - 3 p.m.) in Hershey, PA to provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living for residents.

You will assist with meals, mobility, safety, and daily tasks, document resident status, and participate in activity programs. A HS diploma or GED and APCA program completion are required; CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or obtainable within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods; lift 50 lbs and assist transfers.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must attend and complete required in-services and staff meetings; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident apartments and common areas as directed.
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Communicate status, appointments, admissions and transfers in writing and verbally.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Check on residents, ensure attendance at meals and activities, report concerns.
