Job summary

Life, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Kentucky to assist and monitor clients in daily living activities, meals, housekeeping, and community outings. The role is PRN with all shifts available, offering competitive benefits.

A high school diploma or GED and a valid NC driver's license are required, with a minimum age of 21. Responsibilities include medication administration assistance, adherence to diet orders, and active participation in an interdisciplinary team to achieve care

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care (dressing, bathing, toileting).
• Assist during meals, promoting family-style dining and proper nourishment.
• Support clients with housekeeping tasks (clothes care, cleaning, yard work).
• Help prepare meals and nutritional supplements for clients.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision and without error.
• Follow prescribed diet orders and use adaptive equipment as needed.
• Implement behavior programs, collect data, and follow safety procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team communication as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and accompany clients in company vehicles and on community outings.
• Support clients during school/day program activities and other assigned duties.

Shift Details

PRN (As Needed)ALL Shifts

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned by managers.
