Job summary

You will work closely with care teams, perform infection control, and assist during admissions. The position requires patience, flexibility, gentleness, and good humor; expect long hours and potential overtime as needed to maintain continuity of care and resident

Qualifications

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Must be patient, flexible and gentle and have a sense of humor.
• Able to have fun and engage with residents.
• Demonstrate infection control techniques in resident care.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and shifts.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• May work overtime in emergencies.
• Walk/stand for long periods; may lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, ambulating, transferring, toileting).
• Assists with participation in social activities.
• Assists at admission and helps residents acclimate to new community.
• Observe and report changes in residents to supervisor.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly; support mental impairments as needed.
• Communicates with teammates across shifts.
• Takes part in infection control in all care aspects.
• Prioritizes resident confidentiality.
• Works beyond 8 hours when necessary; potential overtime.
