Job summary

Paycom - ATS's Lynwood Residence in Allentown, PA is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to safeguard health, safety, and wellbeing of residents with disabilities through a person-driven system that emphasizes independence and quality of life. You will provide care, supervision, and guidance to residents to help them live with dignity and increased independence.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, following health plans, and supporting residents' goals while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and comprehend plans, behavior plans, instructions, etc.
• Able to communicate clearly in English.
• Demonstrates written skills to adequately perform all required documentation.
• Possession of a current valid driver's license with insurable DMV record.
• Maintains acceptable criminal background as per agency requirements.
• Successfully completes the Departments Medication Administration course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the life of the individual in their home to foster a person-centered atmosphere conducive to growth and independence.
• Assist in planning and implementation of the program.
• Assist individuals to set goals, make informed choices, and follow-through on responsibilities.
• Support individuals to advocate for self and access needed services.
• Support the spiritual, emotional, and social well-being of the individual.
• Follow health care plans and use medical equipment as needed.
• Maintain safety of an individual in emergencies.
• Provide personal care as outlined in habilitation plans.
