Job summary

Great Lakes Management in Minnetonka, MN, is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to residents, following each service agreement. You will assist with dining, activities, and daily routines to help residents maintain comfort and well-being.

Candidates should have six months in long-term care, be registered CNA/HHA if possible, and demonstrate good judgment in residents' best interests. The role offers shift variety and benefits as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living residence (Preferred).
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL’s as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
