Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Ability to communicate with residents with empathy and respect.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and private information handling.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, hygiene).
• Interacts with residents at all levels of care with kindness and respect.
• Observes and reports changes in residents' health and emotional wellbeing to supervisor.
• Assists in dining room during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
• Participates in leisure activities as outlined in the activity calendar.
• Communicates with residents in a language they understand.
• Ensures residents or responsible parties sign out when leaving the community.
• Supports safety and follows established policies and procedures in emergencies.
• Treats residents, families, visitors, and staff with dignity and respect.
