Summary:

The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) provides for the needs of residents, resident care associates, and the resident care department. Assists with clinical/wellness operations to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, in conjunction with the Resident Care Director (RCD).

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Complete community's in-service training requirements (in person, written, or online)
• Monitor resident needs, preferences, and health status; report changes to RCD, RN, or designee
• Prepare and post staff work schedules, manage attendance
• Review daily time clock punches, hours, overtime, and agency use; report to RCD/ED
• Order clinical and incontinence supplies
• Provide orientation and training on electronic health records and medication administration
• Monitor and review staff training logs; assist with training calendar; report compliance
• Document services, incidents, behaviors, and resident refusals; input data into tracking system
• May facilitate programming for cognitive, social, physical, and spiritual activities

Qualifications:

• Qualifications may vary by state; certifications, experience, and training are essential
• Skills include proficiency in computer use, English communication, organizational skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and other software (Yardi, OnShift)
• Education: Certified nursing assistant or equivalent training/experience
• Experience: Prior direct care or related senior care experience preferred; experience with dementia care and senior housing operations preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: Current license/certification preferred as per state regulation
• Physical Demands: Dexterity, visual and auditory acuity, ability to lift 15 lbs, push/pull carts, walk, sit, stand, and assist residents; good body mechanics; potential exposure to blood or hazardous chemicals
