Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Staff Physical Therapist with resident care and related activities in our Illinois facility. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, safety, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve resident goals.

The PTA will assist with treatment, participate in care conferences, educate residents and families, and ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Maintain continuing education requirements per state practice.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Assist with training of Restorative Aides and others as needed.
• Communicate with supervising PT to update physicians and care team.
• Ensure confidentiality of residents and facility information.
• Assist with equipment ordering to support independence and safety.
