Resident Care Partner / CNA – 81 Oaks Senior Living

Full-Time | Onsite | Sarasota, FL

Pay Range: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

81 Oaks Senior Living is a warm, vibrant assisted living and memory care community dedicated to compassionate, resident-centered care. We are seeking caring, reliable, and team-oriented Resident Care Partners / CNAs to join our Clinical team.

Role Overview

Resident Care Partners/CNAs support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), provide dignified and compassionate care, monitor and report changes in condition, and contribute to a safe, positive, and home-like environment.

Key Responsibilities
Personal Care & Nursing Support
  • Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, positioning, and incontinence care.
  • Change bed linens and ensure resident comfort, dignity, and safety.
  • Accurately document care provided, including behavior notes and change of condition reports.
  • Report any changes in residents’ health or behavior immediately to the Nurse/Supervisor.
  • Take and record vital signs as permitted by state regulations and training.
  • Become familiar with residents’ routines, histories, preferences, and care plans.
Medication Assistance (as applicable)
  • Assist with medication administration and documentation under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse (for Med Techqualified team members).
Customer Service & Community Engagement
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, teammates, visitors, and vendors.
  • Represent the community with warmth, professionalism, and respect.
  • Support a calm, organized, and resident-centric environment.
  • Answer telephones courteously and per community standards.
Residents’ Rights & Compliance
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with residents’ rights.
  • Uphold confidentiality, privacy, and ethical care practices.
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • Current, valid CNA certification strongly preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Compassion, patience, and genuine desire to work with seniors.
  • Reliability and strong teamwork skills.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and resident privacy.
  • Completion of Food Handlers Permit (as required by state regulations).
  • Ability to complete required dementia-specific training annually.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
