Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society, Superior, NE seeks a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered care under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, help with meals, and support psychosocial needs while adhering to the plan of care.

Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and report changes. Requires CNA certification with state requirements; experience in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education credits as state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care outcomes, med administration, behavior, activity and dietary notes.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry to keep living areas clean and operational.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in team activities.
