Job summary

Regency Hermiston is seeking a Resident Care Manager to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the nursing department to maintain the highest quality care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.

You will spearhead resident care plans, ensure treatments align with plans and residents’ wishes, manage MDS processes, supervise staff, and coordinate with survey agencies while staying current on CMS directives and nursing practices.

Qualifications

• Nursing license in good standing.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in healthcare.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead care plan development for each resident.
• Ensure nursing treatments align with care plans and resident wishes.
• Plan, schedule, and revise MDS (RAPs and Triggers).
• Certify nursing staff are performing their tasks as assigned.
• Document nurse notes clearly reflecting resident responses and wishes.
• Delegate, train, evaluate and support care staff.
• Coordinate with government survey agencies.
• Train in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Stay current with nursing practices, CMS directives, laws and guidelines for nursing facilities.
• Attend continuing education and provide in-service leadership.
• Report to the Director of Nursing and fill in as needed.
