Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of care giving within the community, fostering a homelike atmosphere and respect for resident dignity.
• Supervises resident care staff, monitors performance, coaches and documents corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinates ongoing training and education for resident care staff.
• Verifies hours on time cards and weekly hours reports; manages schedules and replacements.
• Monitors residents health status, addresses concerns within scope of practice, and reports changes to Health and Wellness Director.
• Assists in medication management, ordering, storage, and records in line with Brookdale policies.
• May administer medication within scope of practice and review residents who self-administer.
• Maintains resident charts, participates in quality improvement activities, and supports safety checks.
