Ryders Health Management is seeking a temporary full-time Housekeeper in Chester, CT to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors at Aaron-Manor, a 60-bed skilled nursing facility.

You will join a dedicated team upholding high standards of resident living and facility presentation, with a focus on timely service, safety, and teamwork within a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent).
• Previous housekeeping or custodial experience in healthcare, residential care, or long-term care is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for safety and communication.
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, stoop, walk, stand, and move supplies.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, dining and lounge areas, offices on a regular schedule.
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, polish surfaces, clean windows, walls, and furniture; remove trash.
• Perform scheduled deep-cleaning tasks (carpet shampooing, floor stripping/buffing, disinfecting high-touch surfaces) as required.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment; report repairs or shortages; follow safety protocols.
• Ensure resident areas remain safe, well-kept, and comfortable; respond to housekeeping requests promptly.
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff to coordinate tasks without disrupting resident care.
