Job summary

Wedgewood Garden Care Center in Freehold, NJ is seeking a dependable housekeeper to maintain clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. You will clean mattresses, collect and sort laundry, and assist with linen distribution.

You will report repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager, and can suggest changes to procedures or equipment to uphold high standards and safe working conditions. Prior long-term care or housekeeping experience is preferred, and physical stamina is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Cleaning skills, detail orientated, and time management.
• Long-term care or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, utility rooms, storage room, linen room.
• Clean mattresses and beds, gather dirty laundry and place in the appropriate area.
• Report any needed repairs to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Make suggestions for changes in procedure and/or equipment to maintain high standards and safe working conditions.
• Distribute linen and gowns among residents, maintain cleaning equipment, and monitor inventory of essential supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
