Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Douglasville, GA, seeks a Health Care Director (RN/LPN) to lead our health and wellness program, supervise nursing staff, and oversee the community's medical operations. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage medication processes, and partner with physicians and the care team to deliver safe, high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, supervising AMAP and CNA staff, and maintaining survey-ready documentation.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN license is required
• Completion of any State-required nursing training courses for assisted living is preferred
• Must think critically and apply nursing process to promote safe, quality care
• 1-2 years experience required; 3+ years preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Must be able to work weekends, off-shifts, and take after-hours calls
• Must be able to lift/carry/push up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Lead health and wellness activities for residents and manage daily healthcare operations
• Supervise nurses, medication technicians, and nursing assistants
• Oversee medication management program and ensure compliance with regulations
• Provide training and competency validation for staff
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements and prepare for surveys
• Act as infection preventionist and monitor infection control practices
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other care team members
• Assist Executive Director with budget and external partnerships
• Drive quality improvement through weekly/monthly meetings
• Support staff development and maintain a respectful workplace
