Job description

Resident Care Coordinator (Finance)

Provides direct supervision of caregiving within the community, ensuring residents are treated with respect and dignity, recognizing individual needs, and encouraging independence. Fosters a homelike atmosphere throughout the community.

Responsibilities include supervising resident care staff, monitoring job performance, collaborating on performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and conducting corrective actions as needed. Coordinates ongoing training and education for staff.

Verifies associate hours on time cards and weekly reports, completes nursing schedules to ensure proper coverage aligned with resident needs and budget, and arranges replacements when necessary, maintaining clear records of changes and irregularities.

Observes residents' health status, addresses concerns within scope of practice, and reports significant changes or incidents to the Health and Wellness Director. Assists with medication management, including ordering, storage, and record-keeping, and may administer medication within scope of practice.

Monitors staff compliance with medication administration, audits MARs, and observes residents for reactions, reporting significant findings. Responds promptly to emergency calls.

Communicates with families about residents' needs and achievements, reminds them of appointments, and coordinates ancillary medical services.

Participates in service plan reviews, maintains resident charts, and engages in quality improvement activities. Conducts safety and infection control checks regularly.

Participates in community functions, shares on-call duties, and supports the community in maintaining a safe and engaging environment.
