Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of cooking experience in a hospital or skilled nursing care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve resident meals using proper food handling techniques.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure the correct diet is served.
• Coordinate meal service with other departments as necessary.

Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Ability to read recipes and convert ingredients

Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities

Education
