Job summary

Desert View Care Center in Buhl, Idaho seeks a Hospitality Aide to provide one-on-one supervision and companionship to residents under nursing supervision. You will support residents’ rights, dignity, privacy, independence, and personal choices, while engaging them in activities like reading, music, games, and crafts.

Responsibilities include observing residents for changes, reporting concerns to the Charge Nurse, and assisting with meals and non-clinical duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or in progress.
• Strong reading, writing and comprehension to follow instructions.
• Compassionate, respectful approach with residents.
• Dependable and patient, a team player in healthcare.
• Must meet background/registry and employment eligibility requirements.
• Feeding Assistant training provided in-house if not already completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one supervision and companionship to residents as directed by nursing staff.
• Engage residents in activities (reading, music, games, crafts) to promote dignity and independence.
• Observe for changes in mood or behavior and report concerns promptly to the Charge Nurse.
• Assist with meal and dining room setup and cleanup and help with non-clinical duties.
• Support residents in a manner that respects rights, privacy and personal choices.
