Qualifications

• In Rhode Island, all Resident Care Associates must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• High School education preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing supervision of residents' health related activities and seeks medical attention when needed
• Recognizes and reports elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation
• Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, grooming, hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility/transfers, dining)
• Documents and communicates residents' status and needs; maintains records
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitary procedures in dining and living areas
• Mentors new Resident Care Associates and participates in programming with residents
